Because once you learn how easy it is to make this holy-lord delicious caramel corn, there’s no going back.

And, I hate to tell you, but once you buy the main ingredients, there’s a lot more where that came from.

As you might recall, I like a big fuss over my birthday.

Or, rather, I appreciate it if a big fuss is made.

So, when the hubs’ day rolls around, I like to pay back in full all of the doting attention I received on my birthday week.

Always one to know exactly what he wants, I had to settle with buying him a watch that he had already picked out.

But I *was* able to surprise him with a beta fish (named Walternate) and a bunch of rainbow-colored balloons.

“Baboooh!!”

Clearly, I am only branching out so far when it comes to desserts.

Yes, okay, so I did make the pear and ricotta tart. I’m still impressed with myself on that one minus the quarter-size burn on my arm.

And the almond biscotti was no piece of cake (har har).

But a skillet-baked  chocolate chip cookie? Pish.

I mean, obviously, it has potential to be pretty good.
